The E ect of Vibrational Relaxation on the Discharge Coe cient of Critical Flow Venturis

چکیده
This paper identi es a new mechanism that can a ect the discharge coe cient of critical nozzle ows. Speci cally, vibrational relaxation e ects are demonstrated to signi cantly inuence the discharge coe cient of selected gases in critical venturi ows. This phenomenon explains why certain gases { like carbon dioxide { exhibit calibration characteristics that di er signi cantly from other gases (e.g., N2, O2, Ar, He, and H2). A mathematical model is developed which predicts this behavior, and vibrational non-equilibrium e ects are further substantiated by two independent experiments.

CAS WAVELET METHOD FOR THE NUMERICAL SOLUTION OF BOUNDARY INTEGRAL EQUATIONS WITH LOGARITHMIC SINGULAR KERNELS
In this paper, we present a computational method for solving boundary integral equations with loga-rithmic singular kernels which occur as reformulations of a boundary value problem for the Laplacian equation. Themethod is based on the use of the Galerkin method with CAS wavelets constructed on the unit interval as basis. This approach utilizes the non-uniform Gauss-Legendre quadrature rule for ...
متن کاملPressure E ect on Superconductivity and Normal State of Sr 2 RuO 4
We studied electrical resistivity and the Hall coe cient of single-crystalline samples of an oxide superconductor Sr2RuO4 under hydrostatic pressures up to 1.2 GPa. The value of Tc decreases by 36 % at 1.2 GPa, while no appreciable change in the resistivity or the Hall coe cient has been observed. At room temperature an unexpected increase of resistivity along the c axis occurs with increasing ...
متن کاملEnergy Balance and Gas Thermalization in a High Power Microwave Discharge in Mixtures
The dynamics of fast gas heating in a high power microwave discharge in air, is investigated in the framework of FDTD simulations of the Maxwell equations coupled with the fluid simulations of the plasma. It is shown that, an ultra-fast gas heating of the order of several 100 Kelvins occurs in less than 100 ns. The main role in the heating is played by the electron impact dissociation of , diss...

In this article, the vibrational behavior of a spinning cylindrical thick shell carrying spring- mass systems and conveying viscos fluid flow under various temperature distributions is investigated. This structure rotates about axial direction and the formulations include the coriolis and centrifugal effects. In addition, this system is conveying viscous fluid, and the related force is calculat...
